Conversations with Jennifer Osgood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Osgood.

Jennifer Osgood

Hi Jennifer, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’m a lifelong upstate resident and Clemson University graduate. I joined Wagner Wealth Management at the firm’s inception in January 2007 as a Wealth Advisor. Before that, I worked alongside Dan Wagner, the firm’s Founder and CEO, in the Investment Department of Carolina First Bank (now TD Bank) for several years. My background and experience in banking, investment management, and customer service, together with my Degree in Financial Management, allowed me to be well-prepared for a career in the Financial Services industry. After 7 years as a Wealth Advisor, I became a Managing Partner and equity owner in 2014, and in 2023, was promoted to President of the firm. I’m proud to be part of a strong team that has grown tremendously over the past 17 years, and I’m fortunate to provide advice and guidance to clients and help them accomplish their goals.

Would it have been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
One of the firm’s most significant challenges was just after we opened when the Great Recession of 2008 occurred. Fortunately, the firm and our clients could weather the economic and market uncertainty. Changing economic conditions, tax and estate law updates, and market volatility are always present in our industry. However, following a solid and attainable financial plan allows us to help guide clients to long-term success.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Wagner Wealth Management is an independent financial planning and investment advisory firm with offices in Greenville, Anderson, and Seneca, SC. We work closely with our clients to prepare a comprehensive evaluation of their current financial situation and to understand their financial goals. This evaluation enables us to create and implement a financial plan tailored to each client. We do this by focusing on the following areas: asset management, tax strategy, business financial planning and succession planning, asset allocation, real estate, private equity, investment banking, retirement plans, estate planning, and charitable giving. We know every one of our clients personally. We take the time to understand who they are, their needs, how their businesses operate, and what goals they want to achieve. We’ve learned to diversify our strategies, combine our knowledge, and address our client’s complex needs from a team perspective. Our unique boutique approach allows us to utilize multiple Advisors whose specialized areas of concentration aim for a thorough and complete financial plan.

What do you think about happiness?
I’m happiest when spending time with my 12 year old son, going for a run, or finding solutions to complex financial circumstances for clients. Helping clients identify and implement goals and seeing them come to fruition is a great source of joy! I also love giving back by serving on Boards and assisting local organizations in their efforts to provide vital services in the community.
