Today we’d like to introduce you to Amy Jump-Long.
Hi Amy, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I began my journey with aromatherapy and essential oils over 10 years ago. I experienced firsthand how natural plant-based products helped me overcome depression and anxiety. After being instructed in the unsafe practice of using essential oils that resulted in a severe burn I enrolled in an online course for certification and college for aromatherapy. I am a certified level 2 NAHA aromatherapist. The hands-on application (clinical) actually led me to become a licensed massage therapist. I want to share with others what I have learned so they can benefit from what nature offers.
It wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Some parts of my journey have been easy, others not so much. After all, nothing worthwhile is easy. I worked several jobs to pay my way through school and education along the way. I would not be here without my family and clients’ love and support. A lot of people are getting back to their essential nature. My work offers natural plant-based products to help with overall health and wellness. As I learned with my workshops, I wanted to share with a broad audience about what essential oils are and how one benefits from them. That led to writing a book, Scripture Scents, with a co-author! And… I doubted myself and my products’ ability to help others until people began telling me that my products were helping and that I should keep doing what I was doing.
