Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I worked full-time at Chick-fil-A for 11 years. After nine years of employment, our restaurant received a major demolition and upgrade, which required us to close for three months. During the closure, I started Gaffney Pressure Washing LLC. I continued to run the business after Chick-fil-A reopened, working both jobs. I continued this way for all of 2024 and 2025. At the beginning of 2026, I ended my career at Chick-fil-A and pursued my own business full-time – I am grateful to God for allowing me to provide for my family through my own business. The ability to make my own plans and my own schedule is more than I ever dreamed.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has all been a blessing. But like all business owners, there were some hard learned lessons along the way. Buying the right equipment, charging the right price and attention to detail are some of the things I have had to learn on the road. There have been many long nights and long days because of my failure in these things. But now I can confidently say I am a master in them.

At Gaffney pressure washing we are experts in exterior cleaning. Most of our work revolves around cleaning the exterior of homes or businesses. Occasionally, we will involve ourselves in restoration of surfaces. We pride ourselves on honest work and we truly try to treat your business or your home like it is our own. We hate telling clients no and we want to leave every customer feeling like they are the most important person in the world while we are with them.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I do not think luck has played any part. I’m a firm believer in Jesus Christ, my business has flourished when I poured into my relationship with Jesus. Daily Bible reading and prayer sharpen my mind and my attributes so that it reflected in my business. In times where I tried to focus more on work instead of daily Bible reading and prayer, my business performed poorly, and I was very stressed.
