Today we’d like to introduce you to Kamea Hosendove.
Hi Kamea, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I began to start doing nails in middle school. I was trying to find my niche and something that could benefit me in the future! From painting to starting a body care business, they were for me when my mom bought me a $13 Kiss Acrylic kit. Honestly, at first, I didn’t expect to like it as much as I did! I would spend 8 hours plus on my mom’s sets, and they would be so bad that I completely stopped doing them. I became discouraged. But, something told me to pick it back up in my first year of high school, and I am beyond grateful for that decision. I now have a 1-year business and couldn’t be more grateful! I’m still learning by the day and progressing to my goals as they come! I recently got proud of my work and appreciated my growth, which I should’ve been doing earlier. I learned in this journey that: the good things take a long time, but they will always lead you to success. I thank my mom for supporting me through all this because, without her patience, kindness, and toughness to tell me to keep pushing through, I wouldn’t be here today.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been! The struggles have been figuring out the formula and moving with the trends of everything! Also, I doubted and not believing that my work would get better. It just seemed like I was getting worse and worse at some point, making you want to quit.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a nail service business! I specialize in acrylic nail enhancements and love making people happy. My goal is to make you feel beautiful and empowered. Getting your nails done is a form of self-love and therapy, and I take pride in providing that service to anyone who needs it!
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those just starting.
The advice I would give is not to give up! Keep pushing! It’s getting worse before it gets better!
