Today we’d like to introduce you to John Sims.
Hi John, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Well, my name is John Sims. Of course, you all know that already lol. I currently hold many various titles such as, deacon at my local church, full time media specialist, business owner, author, and recording artist (my pastor calls me a renaissance man lol). However, regardless of all of the titles, in my core I’m honestly just a humble guy who loves God, serving His people, and loves family. It’s very interesting how I got here but I’ll try to keep it brief as requested. I originally worked in the medical field with desires of becoming a male nurse. After some time of working in that field as a medical assistant I realized it wasn’t my passion, so I began interning at my church as a graphic designer. Graphic design opened up the door to web design, audio engineering and so much more. I realized as I obeyed God with the talents that I had, He gradually revealed more that I didn’t even know were there. Fast forward to today and I’ve just celebrated my 10-year anniversary for my business (Digital Pro Designs), I’ve written a book “Why you should wait on marriage” (available on waitonmarriage.com ) and I’ve just officially released my first song on all streaming platforms (Sunday Church – John Jay Sims).
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It hasn’t been a smooth road at all as I’ve definitely encountered a lot of hardships, heartbreak and obstacles along the way. One of my struggles was the leap of faith it took to leave a full-time medical assistant job at the age of 23, because I knew in my heart it wasn’t what I was put on this earth to do. This was tough, as many family members and friends couldn’t understand how I could leave a job that I acquired after going to school and graduating for it -especially with no other job lined up or means of income to take the place of it… but I knew what God was leading me to do. This was a tough road to walk and I could only do it by faith. Another obstacle was the heartbreak I endured in 2014 when everyone close to me -including myself had the idea that this would be the woman I married, however the relationship crumbled right before my eyes. This taught me that emotional pain can hurt even worse than physical pain, but the fruit from it produced a book that I would not have been able to write without that experience. There have been others as well, but I think that’s enough for now lol.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I started Digital Pro Designs back on New Year’s Eve of 2011. It’s a boutique design agency that specializes in digital design. Our services include (but are not limited to) Website design and hosting, digital ad design, logo design, and email design. I’m especially known for tapping into my client’s vision and bringing it into fruition in a digital way so that their clientele can be captivated by it. One of my best talents is graphic design. My clients love the digital flyers that I create, and the way that I can translate those into beautiful websites and landing pages. They’re also very pleased with our logos that we create. What sets me apart from others is my eye for design, combined with exceptional excellence and customer service and quick turnaround time. I’m most proud of the excellence that we deliver and the way we make our customers feel with every project. I want the readers to know that if they have a vision that they would like to have brought to life it would be our pleasure to serve them. We love taking on new projects and we pride ourselves on giving them an exceptional product and service.

I’d like to share Matthew 6:33 “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” As I truly know in my heart that every successful endeavor that I’ve accomplished comes from that scripture and my decision to put God first.
