Hi Brittany, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I was always a go-getter when growing up. I was the child that saw issues and made it my business to find solutions to solve them. A year before graduating from the University of South Carolina, I knew that I should become an entrepreneur. I wanted to build a business from the ground up to be a part of the positive change in my community. I was told that I will have restless nights, how men are more successful in entrepreneurship than women, and how many issues I would face that may be out of my reach, however, my will to find solutions to these sayings motivated me more to accept the challenge of entrepreneurship.
After graduating with my Bachelor’s in Art Studio, I didn’t hesitate to open my first company. Now I am a certified Leadership Coach, Mobile App Developer, and Social Media Influencer. I believe my purpose is to make a difference by inspiring leaders to excel through learning, growth, and adding value to others. I am the entrepreneur that I dreamed of being as the CEO of Premier App Solutions, LLC and Grow With Me SC, LLC.
I am best known for assisting individuals, teams, and organizations with achieving cutting-edge marketing strategies while enhancing leadership experiences in the digital age. I am equipped to elevate employee engagement and coach business professionals in dynamic leadership development. My career has not only spanned years working with industries around the country but also in a variety of business sectors.
I have more than 15 years of leadership experience working with leaders at all levels and over 10 years in digital marketing. I have served as a leadership educator, facilitator, program manager, trainer, and mentor. I have a distinguished record for helping organizations and individuals develop strategies to achieve optimal results by building trust, developing relationships, connecting with those they lead, and becoming influential and effective communicators- “Position Yourself For Success.”
I have excelled at influencing organizations strategically, operationally, and tactically. My company has delivered amazing mobile apps for small businesses, organizations, and communities. I have partnered with Columbia’s NxLevel Micro-Entrepreneur Training as a speaker, partnered with the Columbia Chamber in South Carolina, and am a mentor for the youth under the National Urban League.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I did have those restless nights. I did see how being a woman could affect my growth in entrepreneurship and I have had countless issues that were actually out of my reach. At countless times on this journey, I felt defeated. But one day, I remembered and understood who I was as a child. I was a Problem Solver, but then realized I have acquired creative skills that complement my natural abilities throughout the years.
That same day, I studied and researched. I learned how to strategically structure my company so I can sleep at night. I researched and became a Certified Disadvantage Business Enterprise entity, a Certified Minority-Owned business, and a Certified Woman-Owned company with the government. Lastly, I realized other professionals are proficient in their niche to work for hand in hand with companies and how powerful a team of leaders could be for one another. No longer did I feel defeated, however, I felt a sense of relief that I had a road map from the very beginning to warn me of the struggles I have to overcome to be successful.
