Community Highlights: Meet Bayly Silverman of Your Happy Nest Nanny & Babysitting Agency

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bayly Silverman.

Hi Bayly, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started Your Happy Nest in 2012 while living in Atlanta. I had worked as a nanny previously and then when I became pregnant myself in 2012, I wanted to help other families find the best care for their children. Having been a nanny previously, I created special bonds with my nanny families. The two little girls I first nannied for were the flower girls at my wedding! In 2015 I moved to my hometown of Mt. Pleasant and started Your Happy Nest here as well. We currently service Atlanta, Charleston, and Cincinnati and occasionally will assist families in a nanny search in other cities nearby as well.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Overall, I have an amazing team of women who help me keep the business running smoothly, but there have definitely been challenges I’ve gone through. There will always be challenges when running a small business but the most important thing is to learn from your mistakes and always try to strive to be better. We are always fine-tuning our process to make sure we are doing things efficiently and making sure our clients and nannies have a positive experience working with us.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Your Happy Nest Nanny & Babysitting Agency?
We help families find amazing nannies, household managers, newborn care specialists/night nannies, and babysitters/vacation sitters. We are active in both the International Nanny Association (INA) and the Association of Premier Nanny Agencies (APNA) and attend annual conferences and workshops. We are always looking for ways to improve and grow.

Each family we work with is unique and we strive to find the best match for your family. We value caregivers as professionals and require our families to treat them as such. All of our clients for long-term nanny placement must pay legally “on the books”, offer guaranteed hours, and paid time off. When we have happy nannies that feel respected, we have happy families and most importantly happy children!

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I have an amazing team of women who care so much about this business and our families and nannies and I am so thankful for them! Some of our team has been with me since the very beginning, almost 10 years ago!

I also have learned so much from “veteran agencies” that I have connected with through the Association of Premier Nanny Agencies and the International Nanny Association. Our industry is a tight-knit community and we all strive to help each other out. I am so thankful to them and their guidance.
