Which later helped her to expand her blog into a wellness spa for working women to learn how to prioritize their self-care and skin wellness. We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, I wouldn’t describe my journey as easy at all but I do believe that every obstacle prepares us for our future. In my junior year in college, I experienced an ACL tear injury. This injury caused me to sit out a full volleyball season. Honestly, I was extremely hurt and devastated about missing my opportunity to play. But during that year, I started to gain weight rapidly and felt very defeated due to a lack of exercise and mobility. Years after my ACL injury, I struggled to lose weight and find my ideal body size.

In June 2020, during the height of the pandemic, I decided to take my wellness journey seriously. Each morning, I would wake up at five in the morning to document the stages of my journey as an athlete. I took photos and created content of me lifting weights, doing HIIT workouts, and cardio. Through my journey, I learned to fall in love with myself again at every stage of my progress. Also, my confidence grew, and my audience’s support helped fuel my content ideas. I didn’t know that my wellness journey would help inspire my peers and strangers to feel confident in their skin. I blogged my way to happiness and promoted healthy body positivity to all sizes.

We’ve been impressed with Being Fairley Fit Wellness & Beauty, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Being Fairley Fit Wellness & Beauty is a fully equipped licensed wellness spa that specializes in the health and wellness of the skin. My goal is to educate my clients on the importance of eating clean and exercising to reduce the harmful effects on their skin. Studies have shown that certain chemicals from harmful foods can cause health concerns, skin wrinkling, dryness, and thinning of the skin. The vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants present in foods like fruit, vegetables, and healthy fats are consistently associated with fewer wrinkles and age-related skin concerns.

The overall health and wellness of our skin come from the relationship the client has with food. Consuming healthy and balanced meals daily promotes naturally glowing skin. Our skin is the largest organ in your body and each client must understand the proper way to layer their skincare products. Protecting it from outside pollutants and chemicals can be a challenge, but what you eat each day makes an even bigger difference. I specialize in customized facials, body treatments, waxing, and reflexology. Also, I offer Spa Soirees packages, for brides/bridal parties, girls’ day, birthday parties, etc., it’s an ultimate wine-down moment for our clients to relax and distress.

Each service is tailored to the client’s skin needs and concerns. I’m known for facials and body treatments ( back facials). When I promote my skincare content, I tend to dance to the most popular songs and educate my audience simultaneously. Honestly, I’m an educator at heart and I have a passion for education and teaching others new things about various topics while dancing lol. I’m most proud of my drive and determination to build a business in the middle of a pandemic. It still blows my mind that the dream I had as a little girl is finally coming to life right in front of my eyes. I’m extremely proud of myself and my journey.
