Today we’d like to introduce you to Renee Mack.
Hi Renee, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hi. I am Renee Mack, business owner of Youth & Family Solutions, LLC, where I help single, separated, and divorced parents have more time with their children and less drama coordinating with others, author of the book Daddy, Do You Love Me? a devotional for girls’ whose dad chooses to be absent from her life, host of Just A Moment of Clarity with Positive Nae, which can be found on YouTube, Apple Podcast, and Spotify, a Behavior Interventionist, and facilitator.
I am originally from Orangeburg, SC and I currently reside in Spartanburg, SC. I have one daughter, Armanni. I enjoy reading, writing, listening to music, watching comedy movies, and hanging out with family.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Ooo, this journey to entrepreneurship is not for the weak. It requires real work. Real work involves research, marketing, serving, and managing. Some people believe that you can just pay someone to handle the startup of a business. Although, some probably can, I wouldn’t recommend it. Not if you really want to know the ins and outs of your business. For me, starting out I wanted to be as involved as possible with every facet of my business. In addition, for me, starting out was financed solely by me. I did not have outside investors, grants, or loans. I did not have the luxury of hiring someone. But this hasn’t been a barrier for me. I’ve learned so much about myself as a business owner and about my business that I needed to learn. Overall, the road has been fairly smooth. I’ve adjusted my lifestyle to better govern my business. I also seek out professionals who provide guidance in areas where I need it.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
As the owner and primary monitor of Youth & Family Solutions, LLC, I help single, separated, and divorced parents spend more time with their child with less drama of coordinating with others. These life statuses are already stressful, so I work hard at being flexible, understanding, and make the process of these parents spending time with their children as simple as possible. Supervised visitation is usually not a service most parents who need it wants to use. When my daughter was younger, I experienced child custody issues so I understand firsthand what these parents are experiencing. As a previous Guardian ad Litem, I know that supervised visitation can be difficult to schedule in a child-friendly, family-oriented, environment. As a result, I provide a safe, fun, comfortable space for children and parents to spend quality time. My services are unique with flexible hours, weekend and holiday schedules, age-appropriate games, and parental support.
I am most proud when I see a child and parent giggling with each other during visits. It reminds me of my purpose to help others and help parents remain in their child’s life when it is a healthy relationship. I can tell that I am making a difference by client reviews and gifts that clients give me throughout the year and at the end of their supervised visitation needs. Some clients even leave me tips, which are very much appreciated. It makes me feel that the services I provide are worthwhile.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs, or other resources you think our readers should check out?
The Bible is my source for everything. For additional support, I listen to positive music, mentors, and business leaders, and read books written by successful leaders in various areas.
