Check Out Libby Williams’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Libby Williams.

Libby Williams

Hi Libby, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.

I am Libby Williams, I am an award-winning GeecheeOne Films Actress & Multi Published Body Positivity Model. I’m incredibly proud to have the loving support of my parents, children, siblings & extended family. My community has also been a source of encouragement. As a model, I view the body as an art form. I treasure the feminine curvature of my body. I embrace the signs of aging, the wisdom lines, and the creases of life’s journey, engulfing what one smooth, baby-like skin. I’m different. My story is different. It’s a testimony of perseverance and overcoming obstacles: A published swimwear & lingerie model following a 100 lbs weight gain, an acting career following a medical diagnosis of limited memory recall. My journey is my Testimony. Enjoying the greatness of a Soul in Healing.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?

It has been a smooth road for the most part. I genuinely started the process as my act of healing; therefore, I had no expectations of an outcome.

I appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?

I started as a hair model for Virginia Spigner’s Hair Design. Virginia trusted me to represent her brand over thirty years ago. I had the opportunity to model runway & be a vision of natural, healthy hair. Many years later, I had a similar chance to be featured in several commercials for Susan Maclin, Owner of PLUSH Salon SC. Both ladies allowed me to showcase my whimsical personality and knew I supported their business vision.

What do you like and dislike about the city?

I love the support my city provides. I’m from a small town in the USA & it’s rewarding to be recognized for my work & my desire to uplift others. I take pride when I’m told that my social media platforms are a place of positivity. The only thing I would like to see more is the expansion of creative outlets & direction for the creative arts.
