Check Out Kristan Hart’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristan Hart.

Kristan Hart

Hi Kristan, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
The beginning of my story started when I was born, but we aren’t going to go that far back haha.

My journey to starting this agency began when I was 21 realizing that my dream of being a high fashion model wouldn’t be possible because I wasn’t the height, size or shape that was the “ideal” look for the mainstream industry. Needless to say, it was disappointing and I felt hopeless.

Finally the industry is opening up to the diversity of the world but I still feel that it’s not representing everyone as much as they should.

Being here in Greenville as a model and business owner of a company called Hart Mind Body Soul, I was looking for models for shoots to expand my marketing and scale my business, but would get people who weren’t comfortable in front of the camera or who didn’t know how to pose etc.

That’s when I saw the disconnect here. Local businesses and local models are both being overlooked and not represented properly when it comes to advertising. There is a community of talented models who don’t know where to find the jobs and business owners who are stuck with just asking random people or family members to take quality images/videos for advertisement. I have those models and I know the struggle that business owners run into. Marketing is important for all businesses and brands of every type. So I’m the bridge to both worlds. A hybrid of talent if you will.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Owning your own business is never a smooth ride. There is always something that comes up that you didn’t think about before making your passion a business.

As most of my entrepreneur friends say, “it can be lonely on the journey, but make sure you make time for yourself and others.” My biggest struggle is myself. Being afraid to ask for help when I need it, or running myself in the ground thinking that working tirelessly on something is going to solve the problem. Sometimes we have to move onto the next thing to find a solution for the thing we were working so hard on. And remember that asking for help is not a weakness, it’s a strength. Cars are made up of parts and we all have a part to play to run smoothly. Businesses are the same and just one person can’t do it all.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m the owner/model and agent of EnvyHart Creations. We specialize in placing local skilled models to local businesses for their advertising and marketing needs. We also train models by providing them with workshops and help them start on their journey even if we aren’t the right agency for them.

I am the most proud of 2 things. One is our first annual EnvyUs Fashion Show from October 2024 at Good Art Co in Greenville SC. It was a sold out event and a successful night. Where our guests were surrounded by art from the hanging of the walls to the runway.

The 2nd thing that I’m proud of, are my little Harts. My models for my company are simply the best! I can’t believe how blessed I have been to be able to have the most amazing people on my team. From my models to my MUA, hairstylist, photographer, and marketing partner. I am over the moon to have these people go on this journey with me.

The way I’m different is by my approach to the Industry and my training and knowledge. I have been acting and modeling across the country and have seen what I like and what I don’t like and have made it apart of my skill set. I train models like they were in Hollywood or NYC and bring it here to Greenville. It’s a new way of doing things around here.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
To stay true to myself no matter what and to take time to rest. There’s only one me and if I’m not well, nothing in my life is going to work well.
