Check Out Jaclyn Diffily’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaclyn Diffily.

Jaclyn, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I am a seasoned art director who recently relocated, with my family, from NYC to just outside Charleston, SC. I created my company, Impressed Inc, to share my obsession with paper, revitalize the art of entertaining and put my finishing touch on intimate events. ImpressedInc is an archive of all things that inspire me and a way for me to share my creative vision and voice.

For years I have worked on the creative behind luxury fashion brands, and from that I’ve developed a unique style and perspective that I now use with clients to create unforgettable gatherings, milestones and celebrations. ImpressedInc inspires joyful acts of love that elevate experiences and truly celebrate life’s precious moments.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I think the biggest challenge for any Mompreneur is finding the balance between career and family. I could work all day and night, but I have two small children under the age of 5, and I want to be present in their everyday activities and moments. Since having kids, I now find new inspiration in what I create through their shared excitement in the holiday and party planning. I am able to include them in my process by inviting them to join me, most of the time the enthusiasm lasts only a few minutes, but by the end they too feel pride when they see the results. For me, this is part of what makes my efforts more fun and memorable.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
What I love is concept design from the idea phase. Being fully immersed in a client’s brand from even the naming stage or from the beginning of a theme for an event. I thrive on collaboration. The more I speak with a client the more I can foresee what their needs might be and make collateral that truly suits their brand and purpose. It is thoughtful executions that elevate the experience of working together, embody how they want others to feel, and leave them wanting to come back for more.

For example, a client reached out to me because she needed to plan a baby shower for her sister, and by this point in-person celebrations were still being restricted and everyone was “virtual” showered out. We brainstormed ideas and came up with shower gift boxes to be hand-delivered to each guest. Once we established a theme, I sent her a personalized board of gift ideas, customized sticker options, personalized treats and every tangible item that would take this from a gift to an experience. She picked what she loved and I helped place her orders and sent detailed directions on box set-up and the finished look. It was a huge success and loved by all.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
My hope is that my design services can evolve with my clients over time; a bride may become a mom, a business owner might rebrand, or a friend may have more than one home. I wish to be supportive in all phases of their growth so that we can be on this journey together. In hopes of expanding my reach, I launched an Etsy shop offering both greeting cards and printables with a lot of personalization options. This empowers others to inspire goodness and gift with grace.
