Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Saleh.
Hi Danielle, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
I always loved traveling and was on a mission to explore the world. The world is a big place with so much to see and explore. I decided to start documenting my travels through Instagram 4 years ago and make it my mission to inspire and motivate others to travel. I gained a pretty loyal following and have great support. I am currently working on a blog where I can expand on travel tips and recommendations to help others with their decision-making, which will be launching soon.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nothing is a smooth road there was definitely and still are struggles that I come across along the way. Being consistent with content creation and present on social media and engaging with others is very hard at times because you lose the motivation to keep going. Time management is also a tough one since this is not my full-time focus. In the end, you just have to remind yourself to keep doing what you love and things will fall into place. Stay focused and believe in what you are doing. If you love it other people will love it too.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am based in NYC; I travel to inspire others to take the leap and go to places they have always dreamed of but are scared to do it. I categorize in luxury travel. I document my travels by taking photos and videos of places I visit. Writing travel trips and guides of the places I eat, the activities I do, and the places I stay, so I can share these with my followers and give them more insight on certain locations. I currently do this in a style of creating Reels and posts on Instagram. I’m always thinking of different ways to engage my following and captivate their attention enough to make them pack a bag. It gives me joy to see my followers engage with my content, relate to it, and see it as being beneficial to them. I know what I’m doing is not a waste of time and this encourages me to keep on. As stated previously I will expand when I get my blog up and running and be able to share more information with everyone there.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
The people you look up to in your line of work will ultimately be your mentor. You see them at a place you want to be at some point and this motivates you to keep climbing. Networking is something that is a must in any line of work whether an employee, entrepreneur, or creative. For example, reaching out to other travel influencers and accounts similar to yours and having conversations and supporting their work and vice versa. This will be a big help in the long run and bring on loyal following in line with your target audience. I would also say reaching out to brands you want to work with and taking that first step is major.
