Hi Brie, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Building something from the ground up is intimidating — but for me, it’s also been an exciting challenge. Bonaparte Event Scenes was born out of a simple truth: I’ve always needed a creative outlet, and I’ve always loved to decorate and celebrate. When my older sister suggested event wall rentals, it just fit and I decided to go for it.
As a mom of three and a nonprofit professional, carving out something creative and entirely my own was exactly the kind of challenge I didn’t know I needed. I launched in late 2024, and the range of events has been one of the best surprises — a classic hedge wall for my first wedding, rainbow fringe for school events, florals for hat shows, timeless elegance for awards dinners, festive backdrops for community holiday celebrations, and a statement quote wall for a literacy event. No two setups are ever the same.
Every person who steps in front of one of my walls deserves a moment that feels special — a memory they’ll carry long after the event is over.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The biggest challenge has been visibility. I know the product speaks for itself- there’s always a line of people waiting to take photos at every event I do, but getting my name out there as a one-woman show is a different kind of hustle. Building brand awareness from scratch, without a marketing team or a big budget, has been the biggest struggle.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Quality and safety are built into every setup. Bonaparte Event Scenes uses a heavy-duty truss frame, not the standard pipe and drape, which means a rock-solid structure that won’t sag, shift, or topple in the wind. Guests can crowd in front of it and take all the photos they want with complete confidence.
On the creative side, I specialize in fun, tactile textures like tulle and tassel fringe alongside timeless styles, including white floral and lush greenery hedge walls. Every wall can be fully customized with colors, signage, and styling to match any theme, palette, or vision
How do you define success?
It’s the moment guests walk into an event, spot the backdrop, and say ‘Look at that — we have to get a photo!’ It’s a wall that stays busy from the first guest to the last. Those moments tell me everything I need to know.
Beyond the excitement in the room, success looks like repeat customers who come back for their next celebration, referrals from people who loved what they saw, and a booking calendar that grows a little fuller every season. Learning from every event and each year building on the last, that’s the goal
