Hi Angela, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started Custom Design Chics about 2 years ago to create unique and customizable items. It was derived from my previous business that didn’t do so well so I had to take a step back and change my business approach. Now I am a thriving business that creates promotional products for your business and or personal needs. With the failure of my previous business, I learned that I needed to be consistent, confident, and visible. This was a very hard task because I am a true introvert but in order for my business to grow, I have to make a change. This brings me to where I am today, a thriving and growing business.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
This has not been an easy process as an entrepreneur. Sometimes I would lose sight of the bigger picture, lose confidence in my products and just feel down when I didn’t get any sales.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
When people see the Custom Design Chics logo, they think of T-shirts. I don’t just make tees but I make statements. I let your shirt speak to your mood and your style. So, you can shop with me and get a shirt any way you like it, for yourself or a group. I also personalized other items as well and I love to work with my customers to collaborate and create unique products.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
The quality that is most important in my success is that I truly love what I do. Not only do I create the products but I also coach others on how to get started as well. I am not selfish with the knowledge that I have and I am willing to share. I am humble and approachable and these qualities make my business successful and set me apart from others.
