Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda & Dex Badgett.
Hi Amanda & Dex, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
We’ve been together for almost 20 years and married for over a decade. We enjoy each other’s company and doing fun little things. Dex initially found a passion for social media content creation through gaming and did that for several years, which led him to take a career in that field. After Dex made the career change, we talked about a side hobby of making IRL relatable content that can relate to what couples, parents, and families could find entertaining! In the last year, we’ve seen significant growth on our Instagram page, so we have expanded to other platforms such as TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube! We’re excited to see where this journey could take us!
Let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
Overall, it’s been a smooth road for us so far! Our content is genuine and authentic, so it ultimately comes naturally. We don’t have any specific end goals we are trying to achieve; we are truly just enjoying the ride and having fun along the way. If you start setting goals and holding yourself to a specific standard with your content creation, it will get more stressful and feel like work instead of a hobby.
Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We create authentic and genuine content that couples, families, and people can relate to and share on social media platforms. The majority of our content is short-form video content, along with images. We are still upcoming on the multiple platforms we upload content to (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube). Still, we are proud that we are creating organic content that authentically shows ourselves. That will allow people viewing our content to relate to us more directly, showing that we are ordinary people with everyday lives but find fun ways to share life’s moments with a broader audience!
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Authenticity. It allows us to connect with our audience authentically and build a community around “Amanda & Dex.”
