Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Addy.
Hi Amanda, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Bubbly Pop Bottles began in January 2024, just a couple of months after I got married in November 2023. As I settled into married life, I found myself with some extra time and a desire to dive into a creative passion I’d admired for years—decorative bottles. I’ve always been drawn to how personalized items can make any occasion more meaningful. One night, I stayed up researching the art of decoupage and experimenting with different techniques, and by morning, I was hooked. What started as a personal creative outlet quickly evolved into Bubbly Pop Bottles, where I specialize in custom decoupage champagne and bourbon bottles, tailored to celebrate life’s most memorable moments.
In July 2024, I expanded the business to include a gift curation service, helping clients design unique and thoughtful gifts for weddings, corporate events, and holidays. I also began hosting Bottles & Bubbly classes, where I teach beginner decoupage techniques on champagne bottles. These workshops have been a wonderful way to connect with others, share my passion, and inspire creativity. Whether it’s a champagne bottle for a wedding proposal or a curated corporate gifting collection, each project is a labor of love.
Being a small part of so many important milestones—like weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, and even corporate celebrations—has been the most fulfilling part of this journey. I take pride in creating pieces that bring joy, spark memories, and add a touch of creativity to life’s celebrations.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
One of the biggest challenges I faced was perfecting my painting technique. It was tricky to get the base color smooth and perfect around the labels. Achieving that flawless finish took a lot of trial and error but was totally worth it. Another challenge has been learning to balance running Bubbly Pop Bottles with my work as a physical therapist. Juggling both has taught me time management and prioritizing, but the effort has been worth it to build a business I’m so passionate about.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Bubbly Pop Bottles specializes in custom decoupage champagne and bourbon bottles, turning them into unique and memorable keepsakes for any occasion. The customer provides the bottle and we do the rest! We are most known for our collegiate-themed bourbon bottles and floral champagne bottles, which have become favorites for weddings, birthdays, and special celebrations. From corporate events to holiday gifts, we craft each piece with meticulous attention to detail. Beyond custom bottles, we offer a gift curation service that creates personalized, thoughtful gifts, and host Bottles & Bubbly classes to teach the art of decoupage.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is the value of patience and persistence. Perfecting my craft, whether it’s achieving a flawless base layer painting technique or managing the balance between running Bubbly Pop Bottles and working as a physical therapist, has shown me that success doesn’t come overnight. It takes time, trial and error, and a commitment to continuous improvement. I’ve learned that embracing challenges, being adaptable, and staying dedicated to my vision are key to overcoming obstacles and growing both personally and professionally. This lesson has not only helped me build a business I’m proud of but has also taught me to appreciate the journey and celebrate small wins along the way.
