Today we’d like to introduce you to Leah Pegram.
Hi Leah, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve been an event coordinator for over 17+ years – working in various fields, from music festivals to weddings, corporate events, and wellness. It’s so interesting to look back on that and see how the “breadcrumbs” of life led me to where I am now. I’ve always had a passion for creating spaces for connection. As the owner/founder of Her Sacred Circle, LCC, I ultimately serve as a guide to remembrance. I invite people more deeply into presence, wholeness, and love through individual and community experiences (circles, ceremonies, retreats, etc.). Circle is how it all started! I sat in my first women’s circle in 2017. I had no idea what to expect, and having been someone who didn’t feel comfortable opening up around other women, I was hesitant. However, when I sat in that first circle, something incredible happened. I tapped into this deep place within my soul, a place of remembrance. It felt like my soul had been circling with other women for lifetimes. I felt safe and loved, and I knew this was a game-changer. I wanted to scream about it from the rooftops when I left that circle! I had no idea I would end up facilitating circles and ceremonies of my own – I just knew I wanted women all over to sit in circle and experience it for themselves. Since then, I have facilitated hundreds of circles and connected thousands of women worldwide. I also help women start and guide their own circles so we can spread the medicine of circle as far as possible. It’s been a wild and expansive ride and I feel very blessed to be doing this work.
Let’s dig deeper into the story – has it been an easy path, and if not, what challenges have you overcome?
The road has been beautiful, not necessarily smooth or rough – but winding! Each circle is a brand-new experience; no two circles are the same. So that keeps you curious, open, and profoundly trusting God’s Source. When I first began facilitating circles, imposter syndrome was something I struggled with immensely. I would have these limiting beliefs pop in, like “Who am I to facilitate a sister circle?” but over time, I’ve been able to quieten that voice down. I realize that this is what I’m here for, and I trust the winding path as it unfolds for me.
Let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a circle facilitator, ceremonialist, and retreat host. I also serve as an event coach and a mentor for those wanting to become certified circle facilitators. My passion has always been events. There is something so special about creating an experience from start to finish, pouring your heart into every detail to make a journey for someone to move through. With my work now, I get to tap into the creative event professional side of me but pair it with my soul’s calling to reclaim the medicine of circle and community. I genuinely feel like a woman living her divine assignment and am grateful.
We’d like to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you.
I don’t particularly believe in luck, but I do recognize privilege, and as a white presenting CIS woman, I have plenty. I understand how that has opened doors for me and made my path easier than it would be for others. Through the medicine of circle and ceremony, I want to bring all together to have real conversations around topics like that and build bridges of love for a better world where all have a fair chance to live their dreams.
