Hi Rozabre, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey started with a deep passion for beauty, wellness, and helping others feel confident in their skin. I originally operated under a franchise, Brazilian Wax & Spa by Claudia, where I built my foundation in the industry. Over the years, I gained hands-on experience, navigated the highs and lows of entrepreneurship, and learned the value of consistency, client trust, and a strong team.
In 2024, I took a leap of faith and rebranded into my own independent business, Sweet Rose Waxing Co. I wanted to create a space that truly felt like home for both clients and staff — professional yet personal, elevated yet welcoming. We focus not only on high-quality waxing and skincare services but also on building lasting relationships with our community.
What’s gotten me to where I am today? Grit, growth, and grace. I’ve leaned into challenges, never stopped learning, and stayed true to my mission: making people feel seen, valued, and beautiful.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but every bump has taught me something important.
One of the biggest challenges was transitioning from a franchise to an independent brand. Leaving behind the name recognition and systems I was used to was scary. I had to rebuild everything — from branding to policies to how I connected with clients — and earn trust all over again under a new name.
Staffing has also been a rollercoaster. I’ve gone through periods where I had to juggle multiple roles just to keep the business running smoothly. Finding people who not only have the skills but also share my vision and work ethic hasn’t always been easy. But each time I’ve faced a staffing challenge, I’ve come back stronger and more focused on building a solid, loyal team.
Another struggle has been navigating no-shows, last-minute cancellations, and the financial impact they can have. That’s what led me to implement deposits and stricter policies — not because I wanted to, but because I had to protect the business I’ve worked so hard to build.
Still, I wouldn’t trade the journey. The tough moments forced me to grow as a leader, sharpen my business mindset, and stay grounded in my “why.”

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up, I was always a mix of sweet and strong — naturally nurturing but also fiercely independent. I’ve always had a big heart and an even bigger imagination. I loved being outside, exploring nature, and surrounding myself with family and friends. I was definitely a people-person, and whether someone came into my life directly or indirectly, they always ended up feeling like family.
Even as a kid, I loved making others feel good about themselves — complimenting someone’s outfit, doing a friend’s hair, or just being someone they could talk to. I was always open and honest about what I saw in others and felt a need to help people recognize the beauty and potential I saw in them. If someone wasn’t being their full self or seemed off, I noticed, and I made it my mission to lift them up. Uplifting people came naturally to me, and it still does.
Making friends was easy because I could adapt to any environment, and I genuinely enjoyed connecting with people. That care for others followed me into adulthood and naturally shaped the work I do today.
At the same time, I’ve always had a determined streak. Once I set my mind on something, I was going to figure out how to make it happen — even if I had to get scrappy or do it the hard way. That balance of heart and hustle is still who I am now, and it’s at the core of everything I do.
