Hi Rashidah, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for sharing your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
I originally moved to New York from California to pursue fashion and Media. I own my online boutique, Sohotoboho, and I am a fashion Journalist who writes for Fashion Bomb Daily and my blog No Fashion Limits.
We all face challenges, but would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been challenging as I moved to New York with only $400 and had to make it work. I have had doors closed in my face, and amid all the highs and lows, I discovered perseverance.

I am a fashion blogger, writer, and online boutique owner. I specialize in everything fashion, and I am most proud of interviewing people in the fashion industry like Zerina Akers, Sergio Hudson, and Claire Sulmers.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I have never been to South Carolina, but what I like most about New York is how cultural and diverse it is. What I like least about New York is the subway and how overwhelming it can be during rush hour.
