Today we’d like to introduce you to Emily Wyszomirski
Hi Emily, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started out in the art world when I got pregnant with my first son. It was important to me that I was home and able to be a stay at home mom. I started out with digital art, making homemade waterproof stickers at home and selling online. When we moved from western NY to Myrtle Beach, SC I quickly fell in love with the idea of doing all the local markets and started selling my stickers in person. As my passion for arts and crafts started growing I tried many different avenues selling my art until I stumbled on 3d printing. I had purchased my self a fidget off of Etsy and when I had it in my hands I knew what my next adventure was. I started 3d printing in May of 2024 and I haven’t looked back since. I enjoy bringing my joy and love for my 3d printed fidgets and trinkets to everyone else in the community. I now sell in several stores locally and I can’t wait to see where my journey brings me in the future.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I think one of the hardest challenges for me selling in the art world is trying to keep up with all the trends without being faded out with them. I try my best to offer as many different colors and varieties of creatures as I can to appeal to everyone of all ages and interests. I also find it hard to compete with oversea manufacturing. One of the most common things I hear from people, especially when I first started selling in art shows with stickers, is that they can buy it for cheaper on Amazon or Temu.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a 3d printer who makes different fidgets and decor. I currently pay several different artists who supply me with files that I am then able to customize the colors and sizes to print and share with everyone. I sell just about every type of animal from ocean, Forrest, safari, pets, to dragons. I also print different vases, trinket dishes, and other decorative pieces. I love using all different colors like pastels, rainbows and ombres to help make my pieces more unique to my style. I love when someone who isn’t to sure about my products looks through them and finds something that they have never seen before and walk away a satisfied customer. Seeing people of every background and age love my items because it’s different from what they typically see or find truly makes me feel like I’m doing the right thing and that I’m successful.
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
Never be scared try something new or different than what you normally do because it can bring you to the most unexpected places.
