Today we’d like to introduce you to Christine Scott.
Hi Christine, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story started by accident. I became bilingual in high school through a chance encounter with a classmate who only spoke Spanish. I decided to see how far I could go with the language. This curiosty led me on a journey of exploring various roles on-the-job as the bilingual representative. Finally, in 2017, the pull to have a hub to connect others through the power of language access became too strong to ignore. In 2018, Christine Language Solutions was born. We are a full service language services agency. At CLS we use our gifts to interpret, translate, and teach at a personal, community, and corporate level.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Absolutely not! 2019 was my first full year as an entrepreneur. Then BOOM! The 2020 Pandemic. I made a swift pivot from all in-person to going 100% virtual to meet my current and potential clients during a very challenging time (for the world).
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a certified medical Spanish interpreter, with over 12 years of experience. I am proud to be someone who loves other cultures and language, while being a native English speaker. There’s a strength to being bilingual/multilingual and I’m grateful to have this gift.
