Meet Whitney Buckland of Shoreline Aesthetics

Today we’d like to introduce you to Whitney Buckland.

Hi Whitney, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I am a physician assistant that graduated in 2013 from Wingate University. I worked in the hospital and urgent care system for several years prior to expanding my knowledge to aesthetics. Over the last several years, I have worked to educate myself on anatomy, products, and best business practices.

Shoreline Aesthetics opened its doors in July of 2022, with an official launch on October 6. 2022.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There are always struggles when opening a business or learning something that is new to you. Medicine is always an ongoing learning process that never stops. Some struggles of being a first-time business owner are the overall logistics of getting things off the ground. This includes business licenses, capital, cash flow, advertising, etc.

Mix that with medical laws, liabilities are you have an intricate web of hurdles that you have to overcome, one at a time.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next, you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Shoreline Aesthetics is a female-owned medical aesthetics studio located in Avondale. We are skin enthusiasts, specializing in subtle augmentation and improvement, so that you still look like you. We offer options for the prevention and treatment of premature aging.

We set ourselves apart by cultivating a relationship between the injector and the patient. Every patient has my cell phone number for any questions or concerns. My goal is always is have an ongoing dialogue, and not to be a one-time appointment for you. We also offer after-hours and weekend appointments, to make compliance follow-up easy and accessible.

Feeling really fun? Plan a day or evening for a group and use our space to order dinner, play music and have an aesthetic party. With designated parking in Avondale, we can really handle everything for you.

I am proud of our brand growing organically from the roots, and staying true to ourselves. We are doing aesthetics in a way that is thoughtful of long-term sustainability and providing honest options and outcomes. We will never sell you anything that isn’t the right fit. I will always be upfront about expectations in healing time, duration of desired results, as well as risk versus benefits. After all, we are medical professionals first.
