Today we’d like to introduce you to Tristan Moody
Hi Tristan, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Ever since I was a kid, my brother and I wanted to be pro wrestlers. We would watch wrestling every monday night and while watching, we would wrestle each other, mimicking the moves and characters. Later on in my life I slowly strayed away from wrestling, but would still watch it sometimes with my older brother. Fast forward to 2020, my brother Jonathon, found a pro wrestling school. The Palmetto Wrestling Academy, ran by The Star Maker himself, Ethan Case. I was just going to visit with my brother as he started his training and one day during one of my brother’s classes, I could not sit still and it was distracting Ethan from teaching, so when they had a small break he asked me if I had my wrestling shoes and I said “Yes, always.” I then got into the ring and started training and since then I fell back in love with pro wrestling. Now in 2024, I am continuing to chase my dreams of being a pro wrestler and the best part is that I get to do it with my brother and so many other amazing people, especially my classmates and friends at the Palmetto Wrestling Academy. I can not truly express how much Ethan Case has helped me in wrestling and in life, but I owe all of this dream to him and his belief in my ability. So with that, THANK YOU Ethan Case!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
At the Palmetto Wrestling Academy we have this saying. “Slow is smooth, smooth is fast”. The road hasn’t always been smooth, but I managed to get through hard times and difficult situations such as injuries, time management, funds, and physical exhaustion. To say it’s a long road is an understatement. This business has a lot in store for me and I can not wait to find out what I can do.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’d like to think of myself not only as a professional wrestler, but a sports entertainer. I think I am still finding myself in this sport, but can say that I have this energy about me that some people can only dream to have. The athlete in me always make me competitive and that competitive drive helps me in so many aspects of this business, but one thing I am so proud of is my willingness to learn and my ability to be coachable. My “ego” that I have comes from my confidence of my abilities and I have no issue letting people know that I am proud of my work. One thing I am most proud of is my growth as a human. Again, I have Ethan Case and many others to thank for that.
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
Currently my favorite app is Instagram, because I am witnessing my growth of my profile and it allows me to post pictures and videos of my life/career. If you are curious in any way about what you might see on my Instagram then you should check it out and go give it a follow!
