Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Johnson
Hi Taylor, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
After working in the corporate world for almost 10 years, I decided to start designing on the side with the hopes of making it a full time career. In 2020 I was able to leave my job and pursue design full time.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I am very lucky to have had mostly amazing clients and projects. Running a business is always hard, but I have a great group of other designers, family and friends who encourage me and offer advice when needed. The biggest struggle was probably related to when to leave my corporate job. It was hard leaving a steady paycheck and benefits.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a residential interior designer, specializing in creating beautiful interiors for families who truly “live” in their homes- dogs on the sofa, feet on the ottoman, and kids running in and out of all rooms, etc. I am adamant in the fact that you can have both a durable and beautiful home that you’re proud of.
