Today we’d like to introduce you to Rhiannon Mack.
Hi Rhiannon, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Photography has been a passion of mine since childhood. I pursued my interest in college and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Photography from Winthrop University. Upon graduation, I remained in the area and opened my own portraiture business, specializing in children and pets.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Business ownership is never a smooth road. The pandemic offered unique challenges for studio photography as it is a close contact service. As for all small businesses in that time, I was forced to become creative with my services and how to run the studio but some of those changes were for the better!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Reflections by Rhiannon Portrait Boutique is a full service portrait studio serving the Charlotte metro, including York County, South Carolina. I specialize in child and pet portraiture. Pets can be photographed as a part of family sessions or have their own solo portrait experience. Sessions are available in studio or at a variety of seasonal outdoor locations. My sessions are designed to be fun, casual, and low pressure for little ones.
Philanthropy is at the heart of my work as well. I am the chapter director for the Charlotte chapter of Flashes of Hope (FlashesofHope.org). I also fundraise and work on a variety of special projects for the Humane Society of Charlotte.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I love the Seneca quote, “Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity.” I work hard and do my best for every client and opportunity, the leads to doors opening for me down the road.
