Hi Philip, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started in entry level sales and at the time, telemarketing was an easy ticket in. Through many years, I developed additional knowledge, experience and continued building my client base to the team we are today.
I relocated to Mount Pleasant SC from the Northeast. Southern NJ and Philadelphia primarily is where I was raised. Christmas 2011. Since then we have grown and fortunate to have been recognized now by major media outlets, top realtor partners, builders, and local business owners that support our company and our team.
We love the people of South Carolina and the many walks of life we get to experience daily.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Anything worthwhile does not usually come with an easy path . The intensity and challenges are what cause so to many to fail or just give up when tackling a start up project. The road was long and lonely at times.
Getting to know who to talk to , where to go, and where I should be spending my time was a challenge. In an area where everyone knows someone, and trust goes a long way- an outsider is at a disadvantage.
One buyer at a time, I started to get
new reviews, that led to referrals and trust began to build.

Nation One Mortgage is an independent mortgage lender. Proudly direct with communication and involvement in the client process.
We are known for pushing through lending challenges, complex business portfolios, credit challenges, and finding solutions when other lenders have given up.
Well rounded skill sets with the team enable us to handle all scenarios . Not all clients are in need of that specialty , it’s what makes us so different.
Built to care and fearless in tackling an issue. We strive on communication and keeping the client engaged at all times.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
When I first arrived in South Carolina, I was the first to bring Nation One Mortgage here. Joseph Lang, owner, was with me then and I have rejoined with him bring Nation One back (and we are!) . After a great few years at some of the biggest and best known lenders in the US, ( fortunate to be the #1 loan officer at American Pacific Mortgage 2023), before I resigned in November, I have returned.
To come back to Nation One Mortgage, without the big name and bright lights, was suprising to many colleagues.
Soon many in the industry will see why it’s different and why I made this choice.
