Meet Nicole Carter of South Carolina

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Carter.

Hi Nicole, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started creating content because I was determined to find a way to stay home with my babies while building an income that would allow me to be present with my family. I initially started creating content through my experience with Herbalife, and along the way, I discovered how much I genuinely loved storytelling and bringing moments to life through my lens. That passion eventually grew into highlighting and romanticizing Charlotte and the surrounding areas of South Carolina, sharing local gems, family adventures, and everyday experiences. What started as a way to create more freedom for my family has grown into something bigger than I ever imagined, and I truly love showcasing the beauty of the area I call home.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. One of my biggest challenges has been building confidence in who I am, learning to take up space, and trusting that my voice and my story are worth sharing. Balancing motherhood, being present for my family, and navigating my own healing journey hasn’t always been easy, but getting closer to God and reconnecting with myself has helped me show up more authentically. As I’ve grown personally, my content has grown stronger, and staying consistent has opened doors and put me in front of audiences I never imagined reaching.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My work focuses on highlighting affordable and free things to do throughout York and Mecklenburg County, making family experiences more visible and accessible to families who want to make memories without spending a lot of money. I’m passionate about romanticizing everyday life and showing other moms that magic doesn’t have to be expensive; sometimes, it’s as simple as a walk, a trip to the park, or exploring a local hidden gem. I’m also known for my authenticity, humor, and honest, relatable personality, and I love using my platform to uplift small, locally owned businesses, often at no cost, because I genuinely believe we’re called to help others. What I’m most proud of is how much my content reflects my growth as a woman, a mother, and a creator, and I believe what sets me apart is my consistency, my heart for my community, and the genuine joy I bring to telling these stories.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
My biggest advice is to focus on yourself, your personal growth, and getting better at your craft instead of comparing your journey to everyone else’s. The more I’ve invested in becoming stronger in my personal life, the easier it’s become to show up authentically, create meaningful content, and genuinely serve others. I would also tell myself to be more patient and give myself grace because I’m building something that no one in my family has done before, and it’s okay for that journey to look different. Most importantly, keep stepping out on faith, keep showing up even when you don’t see immediate results, and trust that when you lead with love, serve others genuinely, and stay consistent, God will bring the fruit of your labor in His timing.
