Meet Michele Lepore of Lepore Ristorante Italiano

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michele Lepore.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
After graduating from the institute of culinary school Armando Perotti in Bari Italy I toured several hotels and restaurants in Italy before moving to NY in 1990.
I have worked in manhattan as a chef for 10 years, afterwards I became a partner for a restaurant that I was working with and 8 years later I opened my own restaurant.
I sold the restaurant in August 2024 and wanted to move to a warmer state and decided to settle in Spartanburg.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
All went smoothly.

As a graduate chef we are focused on making our dishes all from scratch using genuine fresh prime ingredient, no additives, nor enhancers.
