Meet Matthew Payne Saverance of Columbia

Today we’d like to introduce you to Matthew Payne Saverance.

Hi Matthew Payne, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I originally was a Professional Call of Duty player when I was 13-19. I won over $296,000 in earnings from tournaments. I also received a full ride to Erskine College for Call Of Duty. I played in the CCL for 2 years then retired from COD when I was 20 and moved to Savannah. Shorty after moving I started working as a body double for JWB on Manhunt’s Apple TV show. I did plenty of other projects doing Stunts, Acting, Directing, and Producing. I also am a partner of the Babylon Kino on 631 Harden Street in 5 points under the employment of David Axe. I also stream on social media playing CoD and coaching Cumberland Universities esports team.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I have had many ups and downs, I grew up poor even though my parents worked very hard. I battled addiction at the age of 15-19. I also tore my labrum doing a 30 foot stunt fall.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in Acting, Stunts, and Call of Duty. I am most proud of my work on Manhunt and Cave Girls, along with my call of duty career and earnings. I succeeded at a very young age and have been blessed with lucky opportunities and have taken advantage of them to build my career.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I take risks every day. As a stunt performer we get lit on fire, thrown down stairs, beaten on, and much more. I gain adrenaline and confidence when I complete a stunt successfully. It rules my passion to improve. I always want to be the best at everything.
