Today we’d like to introduce you to Lindsey Anderson
Lindsey, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Since I was a kid I’ve always been the type of girl that wanted to bring ideas to life. Whether it was brainstorming new ways to sell more girl scout cookies or editing home music videos, I was always looking for opportunities to use my creativity. I graduated from UNC Wilmington with a business degree in marketing and got a job for a large corporation.
A couple years, jobs, and failed business attempts later, I landed a job at a real estate coaching company. Several of my co-workers at this company had their own marketing side hustles and encouraged me to take a chance on starting my own. I decided to give it a go and offered some social media help to a real estate agent I knew.
From working with realtors, I quickly began to see how busy they were. Most realtors juggle running around to open houses, paperwork, extracurricular activities, kids schedules, and having a social life. I quickly realized the need that was there, and how I could help solve it.
The next two years that followed I continued growing the side hustle, hiring help, and working with more agents. In February of this last year I quit my corporate job and began to work on LUXELY full time. The LUXELY team started as a team of 1 and is now a team of 4! We have helped 20+ real estate agents all over the US with their social media marketing over the last three years.
It has been such a blessing to get to help realtors, create a flexible working environment for my team, pour my creativity into growing the business, and do what I love all at once!
It has also given me the freedom to be able to give my time to my church and local community. A year and a half ago, a friend and I created a community for Charleston 20-somethings called CHS Crossroads. Crossroads was made for young professionals to find Christian community and explore Charleston together through attending events and social gatherings. We recently had our largest event yet with 75+ people! I’m so thankful I have the opportunity to give my time and utilize my marketing skills for this community.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not the smoothest road! The very beginning of the business was the hardest for me. Figuring out all the paperwork needed, who to call, how to build packages, there were so many unknowns. It can be incredibly uncomfortable to start something new, there’s always a lot of hope and a lot of fear. I’ve learned to just take it all day by day.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
LUXELY helps real estate agents excel at their social media and increase their marketing. We help agents elevate their listings, position themselves as a local expert, and get more visibility through building a connection on social media.
We are known for being highly personalized for each client. A lot of real estate marketing agencies offer templates or the same graphics for agents across the board. At LUXELY, we create personalized content and plans for every agent and team that we work with. We provide them with hyper localized content, a planned strategy, and a powerhouse team that cranks out content! We also encourage our agents to get behind the camera and show off their personality!
I love seeing our realtors succeed with their social media. One of the coolest moments I’ve witnessed was when an agent we work with got featured in a magazine for showing off her cocktail recipes on social media! People love personalization!
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
As a kid I was doing something creative whether it was video editing, painting, or doing arts and crafts. In college I held multiple leadership roles that were centered around developing community and guiding people. I have always been pretty bubbly and love getting to meet new people and walk alongside them through this crazy thing called life!
