Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Robinson.
Hi Jennifer, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Hi, I’m Jen! I’m the founder and CEO of Summerville Women in Business (SWiB)—a supportive, heart-centered group where professional women come together to grow their businesses and build real friendships.
Our motto says it all: “We value community and collaboration over competition.”
Before starting SWiB, I built a wellness brand that was all about those same values—and they continue to guide everything I do today.
I started my entrepreneurial journey over 15 years ago on the West Coast. When my family moved to the Charleston area in 2015, I found it challenging to connect—so many of the business networking groups I tried felt really competition-focused, which just isn’t my style.
I’ve always believed that if you can’t find what you’re looking for, you build it yourself. That’s exactly how SWiB came to be. I was craving a collaborative, supportive community—and I had a hunch I wasn’t the only one.
Turns out, I was right! Today, we’re a thriving group of over 900 amazing women (and growing)!
Through SWiB, I launched a business coaching practice to support women entrepreneurs in growing and thriving—through connection, not competition. Under the SWiB brand, I offer small group coaching, hands-on workshops, and 1:1 intensives.
My goal is to help women grow businesses that not only succeed but feel aligned with the lives they actually want to live. I do that using my 3 C’s Approach to Consistent Client Attraction: Clarity, Consistency, and Commitment.
It’s all about helping them get clear on what matters most, stay focused on their goals, and build a business rooted in their personal values—while creating their own definition of success. When that all comes together, growth and success start to feel a lot more natural.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
When I was growing my wellness brand, it was definitely a challenging journey! I was trying to do too many things under one umbrella—teaching yoga and meditation, offering Reiki services and life coaching. I even built an online wellness magazine under my Peaceful Living Wellness brand. It had 25 writers, multiple advertisers, and an online store. It was exciting, but with so many different things to market, no one area really had the chance to take off.
It wasn’t until I followed the very wise advice of my business coach, Jen McCallum, to focus on just one thing—coaching—that everything started to shift. My business became easier, more joyful, and much more successful. So when Summerville Women in Business—something I originally started just for fun—began to grow, stepping into business coaching felt like a natural next chapter.
As you know, we’re big fans of Summerville Women in Business. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Peaceful Living Wellness and Summerville Women in Business (SWiB) are both rooted in the same mission: helping women grow—in business, in community, and in life.
I specialize in business coaching for women entrepreneurs who are looking to build sustainable, values-driven businesses that align with their lives—not take over their lives.
Under the SWiB brand, I offer multiple opportunities for our members to network and have fun. From casual meetups to engaging events and workshops, SWiB is a place where real relationships are built and women feel seen and supported.
What sets my coaching apart is my 3 C’s Approach to Consistent Client Attraction: Clarity, Consistency, and Commitment. This framework helps women focus on what truly matters in their business, prioritize with intention, and stay aligned with their personal values. It’s a simple yet powerful method that supports sustainable growth without the overwhelm—and it’s helped countless women build thriving businesses that feel good from the inside out.
SWiB began as a local group “just for fun,” and it has since grown into a vibrant, heart-centered community of women. That growth is one of the things I’m most proud of—it shows how many of us are hungry for genuine connection and purpose-driven success.
Whether I’m coaching 1:1 or leading a group, my mission is the same: to help women define success on their own terms and build joyful, aligned businesses in harmony with the life they want to live.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
One of the collaborations I’m most proud of is with a local gem called Hurricane Coffee Co., owned by the incredible Mistina Henning. Not only does she serve up delicious coffee and tea, but she’s also deeply committed to giving back to our community in a meaningful way.
Mistina runs a food, clothing, and hygiene closet right out of her shop, through which she regularly supports individuals who are home-insecure or survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking. Her heart for service is unmatched, and she uses her space and her network to make a real difference.
We support her efforts through a weekly meet-up I host called Coworking and Coffee, and Summerville Women in Business also organizes donation drives year-round to help keep her closets stocked.
It’s a beautiful partnership—supporting a local business owner who’s doing so much good—and as far as I know, no other business networking group in the area has a collaboration like this, especially one that’s ongoing and built on real community connection.
I also am deeply grateful for my two dedicated team members, Rebekah McCubbins and Christa Schrowang! Rebekah is the marketing director for both Summerville Women in Business and Peaceful Living Wellness. Christa is an up-and-coming social media marketing pro who organizes and promotes SWiB’s monthly free social events!
Most of all, Summerville Women in Business would not be what it is today without all of the heart-centered, women professionals who are dedicated to supporting each other through the SWiB community and collaborating with each other!
