Meet Jacquelyn Womble of Living Sharp, Fitness, Nutrition & Wellness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jacquelyn Womble.

Hi Jacquelyn, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I grew up as a competitive gymnast with a Registered Dietitian mom who has been practicing for 45 years. Early on, I experienced the critical role nutrition plays in peak athletic performance. Both my parents modeled such great balance at home—I had no idea what that was teaching me at the time because it was just our life. Perhaps they didn’t either.

That foundation shaped everything. I was determined to learn all I could in the fitness and nutrition industry to help others find joy in living a healthy and sustainable lifestyle. I pursued dual undergraduate degrees in Kinesiology and Dietetics from James Madison University, followed by a Masters in Family and Consumer Sciences with a focus in Food and Nutrition from North Carolina Central University. I became a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, an Integrative and Functional Nutrition Practitioner, and an American College of Sports Medicine Certified Exercise Physiologist.

I built my foundation in corporate America, leading wellness programs for large hospital systems and Fortune 100 and 500 companies, including serving as Wellness Director for Walt Disney Parks & Resorts. I was determined to gain as much experience and learn from the best before opening my own practice. Now, as a wife and mom myself, I’ve come full circle—modeling that same balance for my own family that my parents once showed me. Today, I work one-on-one with athletes, families, children, teens, and adults, helping them make physical and nutritional changes that create balanced, sustainable lifestyles. I’ve also returned to my corporate wellness roots, partnering with companies to provide wellness services to their employees, bringing that same personalized approach to the workplace.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road—but the challenges have looked different depending on the season I’m in.
When I first left corporate America to start my own business, the biggest hurdle was getting over the fear of putting myself out there. Then came the imposter syndrome—questioning whether I really had what it takes, despite all my education and experience. As my business grew, I faced the challenge of managing it all while starting a family.

Now, the focus is on honoring my priorities as a wife and mom while showing up fully for my clients. I love what I do, and finding balance to execute everything I’ve planned while being present in this stage of motherhood is something I’m intentional about every day. The truth is, the challenges never really disappear—they just evolve. But so do I. Each season has taught me something new about resilience, priorities, and what sustainable balance actually looks like. And honestly, navigating these challenges has made me a better practitioner. I understand firsthand what my clients are going through when they’re trying to prioritize their health amid demanding careers, family responsibilities, and everything else life throws at them.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I included an overview of our services below. But to speak freely about what sets us apart. . . We are here to help you every step of the way. We don’t make promises that you will lose the weight (if that is your goal), but we can promise transformation in how you look at food and movement. And your confidence in how to make the right choices based on what your body needs. And the end result is often the weightloss but more importantly, you’re free from the all-or-nothing mentality. We help you transform your life, navigate through the noise, and focus on your unique needs. We dive deep into the physical and emotional signs and signals your body is trying to communicate. We look to find the root of what is going on and the why behind it. This all takes time and we help you every step of the way.

How do you define success?
Success, for me, isn’t measured by traditional metrics like revenue or client numbers—it’s about impact. It’s seeing a client finally break through a barrier they’ve struggled with for years, or watching a family transform their relationship with food and health together. It’s knowing that the work I’m doing in my community creates a ripple effect that extends far beyond individual consultations.

But equally important is being present for my family while doing this meaningful work. Success means I get to pursue my God-given talents—helping others find balance and joy in healthy living—while also being there for the moments that matter most at home. It’s about living the same balanced, sustainable lifestyle I encourage in my clients. When I can show up fully in both areas—making a real difference in people’s lives while being the wife and mom I want to be—that’s when I know I’m truly succeeding. It’s not always perfect, but it’s purposeful. And that matters more to me than any other measure of success.
