Today we’d like to introduce you to Caroline Monteith
Hi Caroline, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I am a Charleston native, a social butterfly, a sucker for any love story, and an a true southern hostess. I have been hosting, designing, and coordinating for many years but I officially started my wedding planning company back in June of 2021, when I left my career as a teacher. My love of organizing, planning, designing, and leading has always carried through to my work. My acquired skills from past experiences in the food and beverage industry as well as teaching, provided me with an abundance of experience working with a diverse group of people and the ability to quickly solve unexpected problems. It is truly my passion serving others and providing unique, custom, and unforgettable moments for clients and their loved ones! I love what I do, and feel that God has put me exactly where I belong. Planning weddings and events is no small feat, and I do not take my responsibility lightly. After all, I get to plan and spend the best days of my clients’ lives with them. It is always my goal to execute events that exceed their expectations, curate the process to best fit their busy lives, and turn my clients into friends!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Owning your own business is HARD and I have learned so much along the way by wearing many hats! One of my hardest struggles was letting go and asking for help. I like to be in control (maybe that is the former teacher in me!) As Goldbug Events grew, I knew that I needed more help but this company is my baby, I had to make sure that anyone that joined my team was going to love it as much as I did and provide the elevated level of service that I expected. Today I am so pleased with my team of planners, event assistants, a florist, and social media/ content manager. We had such a great group of girls that I fully trust and am proud to have represent Goldbug Events.
