Meet Ashley Foster of South Carolina

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Foster.

Hi Ashley, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My love for fashion started with my mother and grandmother. My grandmother was a beautician and my mother was an interior designer and they both modeled! I grew up watching my grandmother make women feel beautiful and my mother transform spaces into art. They both were well dressed, well spoken and God fearing. Back in my teenage years I remember seeing my grandmother in beautiful dresses, slips, stockings, leather gloves to the elbow and fur coats. And she always smelled good! My mother always wore a sleek ponytail with arched eyebrows, an arm full of bangles and the hottest fashion. They were trendsetters whose spirits and energy were the only thing that took second to their style. I knew I wanted my grandmothers classic style with a pinch of my mom’s edginess! I started “Fly Feet Boutique” out of my love for shoes. I wear a size ten in women’s, which is a very common size. But I noticed women with larger feet, sizes 11 and up had very few choices and they weren’t stylish! Once I became a mom my love for fashion showed up through my children. And I started making custom pieces for them. A few people noticed and wanted their own pieces for themselves and that’s how “Fly Feet Boutique & Style” was born. 15 years later I’ve been on HGTV, magazines and styled hundreds of clients!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t always been a smooth ride! I have a child with Autism and I’ve faced health issues including being diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease. But God! He’s been a keeper. So when you see me, you grace and favor!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I love ANYTHING that sets you apart from the crowd! I specialize in custom pieces, styling and wardrobe/closet renovations. But customs is where my heart is! Prom suit jackets, wedding or birthday sneakers etc. What sets me apart from others is my ability to read my clients and provide them with an experience that may take them out their comfort zone but leaves them happy and excited!

What are your plans for the future?
I’m looking forward to more growth and exposure! Expanding God’s kingdom through my clothing line “Fly & Saved”. Because who likes to put these clothes on AND is God’s Favorite? ME…
