Today we’d like to introduce you to Adrian Velazquez
Hi Adrian, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
All on accident actually. Never had the intention of becoming a car meet guru that would lead to shows, merch sales, influencing, and so much more.
I personally have loved cars since childhood, being that I traveled so much child and adulthood my car was one thing I could say is mine. So I’ve always modified my vehicles. 2020 the lovely year of Covid caused this all to start for me being we had nothing to do. The individuals who were hosting events where super unorganized and a massivse waste of time and my tires nor pockets liked driving from location to location for no reason.
So I stepped in and made a private fb page. Invite only type of deal. My thing was quality over quantity. We wanted more nice cars more respectable ppl to get away from the nasty takeover narrative most have on car enthusiasts. Well turns out I wasn’t the only one the that wanted a more quality group of people that had similar interest while being able to show off a unique build we could all appreciate. So the name grew! But with growth comes drama, criticism, better days, great and bad nights! It’s been a journey to say the least. People really don’t know the work this takes to do and typically not receive any payment for it. What set the name off was a downtown parking deck meet we had prime Covid! A video on YouTube I’ll never forget the signs on the elevator for wearing a mask doors open and hundreds of people and cars just living.
Welp that was just the beginning. Due to my mouth I met a guy I won’t name who I initially met by telling his wife on a local car page. He stepped in we had words and do your straight attitudes we had a mutual respect. Well this guy happened to work for the city of Greensboro and had a passion for cars and saw my ability to bring them together. So he helped me get downtown Greensboro for a full on car show! Man it was amazing my first time ever organizing an event that big so it was a. Very stressful time but I loved every second of it. Then comes Lexington brewery, high point downtown “now sponsored” and so many more events to the point now my name is compared to traveling shows!
Biggest thing for me is I don’t try. That sounds arrogant but I don’t mean it in that way. Most ppl today want so much attention and it’s all about who sees you and what ppl think. How can I be seeing or have more followers!we don’t try to have 1000 ppl see the post it just happens. We dnt pay for adds or boosts, no promoting. One post, come or don’t! If I had probably attacked social media for what it can be used the page would probably be bigger but I just didn’t want to do that. Just keep it well lowkey if we grow naturally that’s awesome if we don’t I’m not upset either way

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Ha smooth road would be so nice. Cops, property owners, lairs, the weather, uhh I can go on! Biggest thing for me was once the name got out and well we weren’t private anymore how do I keep car quality alive while still appealing to the masses which could end up being troubling and nights being ruined causing my reputations if clean save chill quality events to stock, wreckless, shitshows.

I actually worked as a manager at speedway when I started lowk3y. It was all just suppose to be something to do after work or on weekends to hang out with ppl. It was never ment to be what it turned into. I wouldn’t say I specialize in any one thing but I def like to over analyze things so I can do them better or more efficient. I’m known for my tone and mouth. I speak my truth no matter the care or consequences. I never aim to be rude or disrespectful but I don’t beat around the Bush. Which is probably why my name has the reputation it has. We are firm in our not bs not antics with quality over quantity meets. Idc if only 10 cats show up they will be 10 clean cars and we will enjoy our time. I started off private went public because turns out more people wanted what I was providing but if anyone acted up back to private. Which as the name grew worked well because now private meets where bigger then the public ones
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Well I’ve traveled my entire life. And I’m also very much an introvert. I prefer to be left alone chilling in silence with a small good group of friends. I’ve jumped out of my comfort zone having to be in charge of massive groups and having hundreds of eyes looking at me for direction. Now it’s easy but man was it new! Aside from that I’m an open book
