Life & Work with Stephe Ebert of Greenville

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephe Ebert

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Briton Court (named after the street we grew up on in Greenville SC) started with a dream of three sisters who had been in the retail and wholesale industry since they were 14 years old. Briton Court launched in 2022 as a private label in our family stores (Harringtons and Vann & Liv). An influencer purchased a womens dress and two matching girls dresses for her daughters from our private label collection and once she posted about the dresses our web sales took off and retailers called asking to sell the brand. That gave us the idea to offer the collection at wholesale so we went to the Atlanta apparel tradeshow with our Spring 2023 collection and haven’t looked back since. We are currently in over 350 stores throughout the US and growing.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There are always bumps in the road but we promised one another to always stay positive, true to our brand and encourage one another. Bumps in the road are temporary and there is always something bright on the horizon.
I will say the biggest struggle starting off was figuring out the logistics of international shipping but we have some amazing partners in India who we now communicate with and work with daily and that has really helped. Between the three of us sisters, we each have our own strengths and lean heavily on one another for support and encouragement.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We are known for our bright colors, unique prints and comfortable fabrics. We work with artists in Brazil and the US that hand draw, paint and create our prints to offer exclusive one of a kind styles. People love the fact that we offer matching womens and girls prints so they can match their bestie, mom, grandma and so on. We’ve been voted best prints by E News and cutest matching mommy and me styles by Parent Magazine.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
Our employees, retail partners and customers are our greatest asset. We treat everyone like family. We learned this by growing up in a family who was in the restaurant business for many years. Our dad and his family owned one of the greatest Italian restaurants in Greenville. From a young age we watched them treat their customers and employees like family. We know that great service is harder to find these days and strive to provide exceptional service to every one of our retail partners, customers and employees.
