Life & Work with Kezia Reed of Summerville, SC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kezia Reed.

Hi Kezia, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey as a content creator and UGC creator started with a passion for beauty and storytelling. I’ve always loved makeup and skincare, not just for how it enhances our appearance, but for the confidence it brings. I began sharing my favorite products and tips on social media, just for fun at first. Over time, I realized how much I enjoyed creating content and connecting with people—especially young women who wanted to feel confident in their own skin.

I didn’t have any experience or connections in the industry, but I decided to start learning everything I could about UGC and content creation. I taught myself how to film, edit, and pitch to brands, all while staying true to my message of faith and self-confidence.

Now, I’m building my presence as a beauty and lifestyle creator, and my goal is to inspire and uplift others through content that’s real, encouraging, and faith-centered. It hasn’t always been easy, but I’m so grateful for how far I’ve come and excited for what’s next

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges has been balancing content creation with nursing school. I’m actually taking college classes at just 15 years old, which is such a blessing but also a huge responsibility.

Managing deadlines, staying on top of my studies, and still finding time to create, film, and edit content hasn’t always been easy. There have been moments where I’ve felt overwhelmed or doubted whether I could really handle both. But I’ve learned how to manage my time better, stay grounded in my faith, and trust that God placed these opportunities in my life for a reason.

Every struggle has pushed me to grow stronger, and it’s made me even more passionate about showing other young women that they can chase their dreams—even if the path isn’t easy.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I create beauty and lifestyle content that’s all about confidence, faith, and realness. I specialize in UGC (user-generated content), so I work with brands to create videos and photos that feel authentic and relatable. I also share my own beauty routines, favorite products, and faith-based encouragement to inspire other young women.

What I’m most proud of is starting my journey so young. At just 15, I’m building a brand, going to college for nursing, and using my platform to empower others. I want girls to know that they can love Jesus, take care of themselves, and go after big goals without compromising who they are.

What sets me apart is the heart behind what I do. I’m not just here to promote products—I’m here to build confidence, spread light, and remind people of their worth. I keep things honest, fun, and full of purpose.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
I don’t have an official mentor right now, but I’ve learned a lot just by observing and learning from people I admire—both online and in my personal life. My biggest role models are definitely my parents and my aunt. They’ve always led by example when it comes to hard work, faith, and staying grounded. And of course, Jesus is the ultimate guide in my life—His example is what I try to model everything after, from how I treat others to how I approach my goals.

When it comes to networking, I’ve found that being genuine goes a long way. I try to support other creators, engage with their content, and just build real connections. Even small things like commenting or sending a kind message can open the door to meaningful relationships.

My advice is: don’t wait for the perfect mentor. Learn from those around you, stay open to community, and let your role models guide your values and vision. Mentorship doesn’t always look like a formal title—it can come through everyday examples and quiet support.
