Life & Work with Heather Lancaster of Anderson, SC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Heather Lancaster.

Hi Heather, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I moved to Anderson in 2014. After working for a software company for almost 15 years, I took a leap of faith to start Glory Fire Productions. My goal was to help small businesses, authors, and non-profits get their message out to the world.

My background in software training and marketing meant I’d seen many large and small businesses struggle with various challenges, mainly because they didn’t know how to get people to understand what they do.

Glory Fire Productions started with voiceovers and videos, but has expanded to creating and managing websites, and handling social media creation and management. We now offer services to authors who wish to be self-published, including editing, book formatting and consulting on best practices for KDP. And most recently, we’ve started helping produce podcasts, so content creators can focus on creating their best content while we handle all the scheduling, uploading, editing, and back end work.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Many things in life aren’t a smooth road. Starting your own business is no exception. One of the biggest issues is letting people know that you’re there. It’s the same battle our clients face. Unlike many companies, we don’t force our website clients into a long-term contract, and every package is tailored to each client. However, that means that once we finish a project, it’s done, unless the client wants additional work. Sometimes that makes it challenging to balance out the time, but it allows me to focus on my books and podcast, separate from the business.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
In addition to Glory Fire Productions, my husband, Greg, and I have a podcast – eXchanging Eternal Truths. We’ve been podcasting for over 2 years, and on the show, we’re privileged to talk to ministers, authors, and others about what God is doing in their lives and communities. It’s branched beyond just the Upstate, and now we have friends all across the country. My faith is the most important thing to me, so sharing that with others who are like-minded is such a blessing.

I also have five books on Amazon, all of which hit the best-seller list in their categories on launch. The first four are part of a series and include: Seeing the Power of Your Words, Walking in God’s Benefits, Choosing to Overcome Your Fears, and Embracing Your Godly Authority. They are 30-day devotionals that include Scripture, a short teaching, a prayer, and then questions to help cement the topic.

The fifth book – Growing Your Garden, released this year, and is a book that encourages your Spiritual growth by comparing it to how we grow a natural garden.

What are your plans for the future?
Other than continuing on the next books in the latest series, I know there are several book editing projects on the horizon. But overall, nothing is changing. I plan to continue serving my clients, both old and new, with the same dedication that we have maintained since 2018.
