Today we’d like to introduce you to Halle’ Williamson
Hi Halle’, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Photography has always been apart of my life because my family has always been big on memories, as most are. My grand-father (dad) Lloyd who raised me was a big Polaroid guy capturing photos always, my god-father DL also always had the video camera out for as long as I could remember. Everyone definitely knows also my grand-mother (mom) Edith is the keeper of all photos especially the classics like birth, family events, school pictures, and just classic memories. So I feel it was inherited and just natural honestly. In middle and high school I was into like video production, newspaper, yearbook, and things like that so I kept it going. College really added to my drive with being a Mass Communications major and just learning more ins & outs of media, starting a blog/business, and HELLZSHOTIT just eventually was birthed by force.. a bit of a powerful and immaculate force if you will.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been easy, any entrepreneur or creative can agree with that. You have to make sacrifices of course, investments, put in the hard work even when you may not feel you’re getting the results you should or are expecting. Being a creative we go through creative blocks, trouble balancing everything, sales/financial issues, slow times/overwhelming times, things happen. I’m a firm believer in sticking to what you love and following your passion through the ups and downs. All of the bumps through the road have been either worth it, a lesson, or a stepping stone of some sort to where I am today and sometimes of course I still get bumps in the road but I’ll never let it stop me. But I will say, balance and peace are two big pillars for me when I hit those struggles or bumps, and I keep my faith strong.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Im a photographer & videographer that is well rounded in many genres. Some of my main focuses in my art would be family/portrait photography, branding, event photography/videography, and definitely behind the scenes photography/videography that’s really what gave me a start into where I am today with my work. I’ve worked with some truly amazing individuals whether it has been for friends, family, new clients, small businesses, musicians, fellow creatives, the list goes on and I could get specific but I don’t really like to because I’ve enjoyed all genuine shoots & clients. I love the fact that people trust me to capture memories that are special to them, helping them bring visions to life, building their business, and just being there for them on that media end to give direction and assistance. My dedication, drive, and creativity have always been things people like to point out or shout me out for in a way and I’m thankful for that because this is truly something I love so much.
