Today we’d like to introduce you to Ebony Brewster.
Hi Ebony, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was raised by a single mother whom in which set a great example for me and also my grandmother. Three generations under one roof – full of love, sacrifice, and lessons in resilience. I was taught early on that faith, hard work, and you can make some things happen. My stepdad came into the picture later and introduced me to real estate through his business. I was also the person that was hooked on HGTV, watching people turn fixer-uppers into dream homes. The turning point was seeing a friend go through the homebuying process. I thought to myself, “I could really do this.” So in 2017, I took a leap of faith. I signed up a real estate course. I did not pass the licensing exam the first time, but that didn’t stop me. I studied some more, prayed, and pushed forward, and passed on the second try. Today, I assist people with finding more that just houses – I help them find home. I know what it’s like to build something from scratch, to dream big with limited resources and to bet on yourself – and win.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I wouldn’t describe the road as smooth, but I would say it’s been deeply shaping. I was raised for most of my life by a single mother, and watching her work tirelessly to provide and lead our household instilled a strong sense of responsibility and resilience in me. It taught me the value of hard work, independence, and how to find strength even in uncertain circumstances.
As I’ve grown, I’ve faced my own set of challenges—especially around managing health issues like PCOS, which can quietly impact your energy, emotions, and overall balance. Navigating those personal hurdles while also building a career and now a family hasn’t been easy, but it’s taught me the power of consistency. I’ve learned that progress often comes from simply showing up every day, even when you don’t feel at your best.
So no, the journey hasn’t been smooth—but it’s been purposeful. Every challenge has added depth to my story, and I carry that strength with me in everything I do, personally and professionally.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a real estate agent in the upstate of South Carolina. I specialize in residential real estate. I am most proud of assisting my clients with buying or selling their most valuable asset, their home. What sets me apart from others is that I am willing to go the extra mile for my clients making sure that they understand and know every step of their real estate journey.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
If I had to credit one characteristic, it would be consistency. It’s not the flashiest trait, but it’s the one that has moved the needle in every area of my life. Consistency is what’s kept me grounded through personal challenges, career pivots, motherhood, and entrepreneurship. It’s easy to be motivated for a moment—but showing up day after day, even when it’s uncomfortable or inconvenient, is what builds real results.
Whether I’m managing my real estate business, creating content, or simply trying to be present as a wife and mother, it’s that steady commitment to keep going that has made all the difference. In a world that glorifies hustle and highlights, I’ve found that success is often about what you keep doing when no one’s watching.
