Today we’d like to introduce you to D’angelo Leysath
Hi D’Angelo, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I got into professional wrestling as a joke. I grew up watching WWE and one day in college, as I was playing the WWE video game, my roommate walked in and said jokingly that I should give up football and try out for pro wrestling… here we are years later and that’s exactly what I did. It happened to be one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life because it literally allows me to be a leader and role model in my community.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The biggest struggle has been time management. Wrestling can be very time consuming and I just recently got married so it took my wife and I a little time to find a balance but once we did it became smooth sailing from that point on!
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
As an independent professional wrestler I travel all over the country (and soon the world) performing in front of local crowds, throwing my body at the ground for their entertainment. I also take pride in showing up to each show early to help with ring and production set up. I also enjoy working and learning from various promoters how to properly run a wrestling event with the dream of one day running my own wrestling company. I can honestly say that I am most proud of how fast I was able to stand out and make opportunities for myself. I believe that my passion and will to win along with my character and charisma is what sets me apart and I truly believe that everyone reading this will be watching me on national television one day!
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
No surprises here I’m a very open person when it comes to my profession.
