Today we’d like to introduce you to Bizzer Duszak.
Hi Bizzer, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
My name is Bizzer, I am 28 and I was born and raise on Long Island, NY. Elle and I are cousins, and we grew up together. I have always had a passion for sports and living an active lifestyle. I played DIII lacrosse at Hobart and William Smith and then went on to get my masters in exercise with a focus in nutrition from Columbia University’s Teachers College. During my master’s I worked as a personal trainer, nutrition coach, spin instructor, and group fitness instructor. I did those both in person and virtually for about 4 years. My husband is a professional hockey player, so we split our time between CHS, LI, and wherever he is playing. I actually learned about PeachLab from one of Joeys’ teammates wives who has one in Michigan. I knew it was an amazing concept and I asked Elle what she thought and she said, “let’s do it”. We flew to Michigan in June 2024 to see the original studios there and then by October 2024 we had signed a lease in downtown Charleston and opened on February 15th, 2025. I have continued to train my clients virtually and give nutrition guidance, but I have put a lot more time into coaching at peach lab and running the studio with Elle.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
For the most part it has but we have definitely learn A LOT along the way. I’d say we learn a lesson or two every single week, sometimes every day. It has been one of the most challenging but also rewarding and passionate driven things we have ever done.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Peach Lab is a group fitness strength studio that prioritizes lower body strength and follows a split that spreads the full body volume out across the week so that you can come back every day. While our studio is very aesthetically pleasing and tailored to a more female aesthetic — it is no joke! We squat, deadlift, bench, and overhead press with barbells. We have cable machines, hip thrust machines, stair climbers, and lots of kettlebells and plates that allow each person who takes a class to be challenged.
We pride ourselves on form and technique. We care a lot about how coaches’ demo and articulate movements and we take time to make sure everyone feels safe and confident with the daily exercises.
We have built a very fun and welcoming community in just a handful of months, and it has been amazing to see it continue to grow every day.
Personally, seeing how strong our members have gotten is the coolest part — people have come in lifting 10lbs kettlebells and now can deadlift more than what they weigh!
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Hmm, this is hard… I guess I’ll pick something from me and Elle’s childhoods together on the Cape. Every summer our family would have a huge clambake and all the cousins, aunts, uncles, etc would go clamming for all the clams, mussels, and oysters. Every summer the kids would choreograph a dance to do on the end of the dock in front of all our parents, grandparents, and their friends.
