I’m Ashley! The Sweetpea behind Sweetpea Lifestyle!
After college cooking classes and years of hosting, I’m the Hostess with the Mostest who is ringing in the new southern belle. The fairy godmother of maximizing your time and creating unforgettable memories around your table.
Many years ago, I created Sweetpea Lifestyle as a way of sharing simple recipes and entertaining tips with friends.
Sweetpea Lifestyle is a go-to resource for dependable recipes that help you effortlessly entertain—you’ll learn tfo edit out the mess of over-complicated dinner parties.
You’ll find me tucked into my home in Asheville, NC, most likely planning for a dinner party of some sort.
When I was a little girl, I would “host” tea parties in my grandmother’s walk-in pantry and dream of the day I could host my own dinner parties.
Now that this is my life, and my job is hosting parties and creating recipes that help other people host parties… Y’all, 5 year-old-Sweetpea would be very excited!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I’ve been adding content to the Internet for 17 years! So, while I may feel like a dinosaur on the Internet, every day is a new challenge!
When you think about the range of people using the internet, it’s from the baby boomers who love a personal email with the recipes linked to the sweet baby GenZers who want to do it themselves!
Every day, I’m challenged with how to most effectively reach my varied audience!

I am known for the magical gathering that people attend in my home — but, my favorite thing to do is share that knowledge with the world!
I am a firm believer that a dinner party can change the world. When you gather around a table with food and drinks, conversation starts flowing. You might end up sitting there for hours without even knowing it, getting to know the people in front of you better and better! This is where we can be bold and courageously show up for our people by loving them well around the table.
