Life & Work with Alicia Tetreault of Bluffton

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alicia Tetreault.

Hi Alicia, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I graduated with a Business Management degree from Oral Roberts University, and right out of college, I worked in one management position where I had the opportunity to help a company that wasn’t performing well. At the time, by identifying key areas for improvement, I helped the company transform and rise to become one of the top performers in the country.

In my last few roles, I discovered a real passion for marketing. My most recent experience was serving as the CMO for Monarch Roofing, where I had the privilege of working under the leadership of Martin Pettigrew, the owner. Martin is one of the best marketers I have seen, and I was honored to learn from him. I was able to take the knowledge I had gained and, in addition, learn from his expertise. He truly believed in marketing and gave me the opportunity to run with it. I was able to apply my ideas and collaborate on creative concepts as well. Together, we transformed the company into something much bigger, applying innovative marketing strategies that fueled its growth and helped us make a meaningful impact in the community. I loved being part of a company that prioritized local market engagement and gave back to the community.

Today, I have the privilege of being the CMO for Pro Shine. From the moment I met Cory and Nicole, the husband-and-wife duo behind the company, I knew they were in business for all the right reasons. I’m incredibly excited to be part of this journey and look forward to what we will achieve together. My faith has always been a guiding force in my life, and it continues to steer my decisions, course, and vision. I truly love helping companies grow.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There are always some bumps along the way, but nothing that one can’t put their mind to and overcome. Looking at things through a positive lens really helps redirect and see things differently. Also, being able to depend on God has always been the biggest help for me.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I specialize in helping companies grow through effective marketing strategies, focusing on areas like branding, digital advertising, and customer engagement. My passion lies in using innovative marketing techniques to drive business growth and make a lasting impact in local communities.

What sets me apart is my hands-on approach to problem-solving. I thrive on identifying key areas for improvement and developing tailored strategies that not only help businesses grow but also ensure their marketing efforts truly resonate with their target audience. My experience spans across multiple industries, and I’ve had the privilege of working with teams that are committed to making a difference. I’m known for my ability to turn challenges into opportunities and for maintaining a positive, solution-focused mindset.

One of the things I’m most proud of is the opportunity I had to serve as the CMO for Monarch Roofing. Working alongside a team that truly believed in the power of marketing, we were able to transform the company into a much larger and more successful operation. I was part of helping a company in certain local markets where no one really knew who they were, to quickly becoming known as the top company to go to, with the majority of people knowing who they were. It was incredibly rewarding to be a part of that growth and to see how marketing and employee dedication could bring such positive results. More recently, I’m proud to be the CMO for Pro Shine, where I get to collaborate with an amazing husband-and-wife team, Cory and Nicole. Their vision and commitment to doing business the right way align perfectly with my values, and I’m excited to help Pro Shine reach even greater heights.

What sets me apart is my commitment to not just growing companies, but to helping them make a positive impact on their communities. I believe that business success is not just about profit—it’s about creating jobs, fostering meaningful relationships, and delivering value to customers. I’m driven by the opportunity to make a real difference through thoughtful, strategic marketing.

How do you think about luck?
I believe that luck plays a smaller role in life and business than most people might think. Success is largely driven by hard work, determination, and the mindset to turn challenges into opportunities. That said, I’d be lying if I said that unexpected events or serendipitous moments didn’t have an impact. Sometimes, good things seem to fall into place when the timing is right, or when you’ve put in the effort and you’re ready to seize an opportunity.

On the flip side, I’ve also encountered moments that might seem like bad luck at first—unexpected setbacks, missed opportunities, or challenges that throw you off course. But over time, I’ve learned that these are often just stepping stones in disguise. They push you to think outside the box, grow stronger, and adapt, and I’ve found that the key to overcoming any “bad luck” is staying positive and resilient. At the end of the day, while luck may play a role here and there, it’s the mindset and actions we take that make the biggest difference.
