Inspiring Conversations with Rachel Strivelli of Inner Wisdom

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel Strivelli.

Hi Rachel, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
As a child, I had psychic gifts (seeing spirits, visionary dreams, talking to my cats), but I didn’t feel comfortable with being so “extra” and “sensitive,” so one night I prayed for my gifts to go away, and they did. Fast forward 20 years, I followed & admired many spiritual teachers & psychics, and simply considered that I had a strong intuition and that’s it. I became a science & English teacher and fostered and nurtured the creativity, motivation, and love of science & books in my students. When my first child was born, I thought I would be a stay-at-home mom, but I quickly realized that role didn’t fit me well. I began my journey of what type of work would allow me to work around the preschool-school schedule and have a business and help people at the same time. First, I was an organic garden coach, helping people to grow their gardens organically with no chemicals. My own intuition spoke and said, “Go bigger, help others,” so I began life coaching. After several years of doing this part-time, time after time, what my clients got from our sessions together was my intuitive insight. However, it took having my second child and not having answers for how to help him with his sensitivities, sleep issues, and sensory issues to start seeking help from psychics myself. However, what kept happening, was the psychic or healer would tell me something to help my son that I was either already doing or intuitively felt was the answer. I realized that I was just as tuned in as they were.

My life coaching clients also kept pointing out how my intuition was the insight that they kept coming back for. I connected the dots and shifted to focus on giving psychic readings for my clients regarding business, career, life, and for organizations.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has been a meandering road that has really involved lots of self-discovery. As a life coach, I knew that I could be doing more or better for my clients, but I couldn’t quite put my finger on what that difference was. I kept showing up online- making videos, going on podcasts, writing articles, and sharing my story, because I knew that as long as I kept on pursuing this path, I would find the answers I was looking for. I had to overcome the inner struggles and fears of “what will people think of me when I tell them I’m a psychic,” as one of my major hurdles. Also, juggling summer breaks, school cancellations, and sick kids while trying to have momentum in my business was a struggle. Similar to the work that I was doing- at every hurdle, I would ask for insight/advice/coaching from those I trusted, I would revise and reexamine what I was doing, and I would spend time reflecting on what was working, what wasn’t, why things were going that way and what did I want to do about it.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next, you can tell us a bit more about your business?
