Today we’d like to introduce you to Nina Ghassemzadeh
Hi Nina, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Five years ago, if someone told me that by 2023 I’d be working professionally as a Reiki Master Practitioner and Psychic/Medium, I would’ve taken it as a joke! I’d been building my career in a hospital pathology laboratory since 2011 and at that time, I’d never even spoken out loud about my psychic abilities. I knew how crazy it sounded.. Things like knowing what would happen before it actually happened, being hyper aware of other people’s thought’s and emotions, and knowing that a particular person was in close proximity to me minutes before I actually saw them were just everyday occurrences for me- and that was that.
I didn’t put much thought into it until I was 23 and experienced an undeniable, face-to-face encounter with the spirit of my grandmother. I was in the midst of grief and despair because earlier that day I’d learned that my pregnancy had miscarried, but suddenly I was engulfed into a peaceful and calm sensation that filled the entire room and time seemed to slow down. She appeared in front of me, spoke to me, and then as suddenly as everything happened; she was gone and everything was back to normal. Surprisingly, I wasn’t scared at all. In fact, it was such a beautiful experience that it changed my views on -life- death- and everything in between.
It would be another 10 years before I had the opportunity to dive-in and begin developing and exploring my abilities. I’ve met so many talented teachers, intuitive mediums, reiki practitioners, and light workers along the way that helped support and propel me. I also discovered that my abilities to connect with other people’s energy and emotions were, in a sense, a symptom of my natural ability to heal. That journey of self discovery filled my heart with purpose, passion, and amplified the love I felt for myself and others. I’ve spent 100’s of hours learning, expanding, fine-tuning, and discovering new methods of healing connections. The reiki sessions & psychic/mediumistic readings I was providing for my friends and acquaintances began to take shape into the unique healing sessions that I offer today, at Nina Joon Psychic Reiki. I still maintain my full-time nightshift position in the lab, but I’m so thankful to be able to do what I’m most passionate about and I’m so excited about what the future holds!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I’ve been faced with a lot of the normal challenges you’d expect to run into when starting a business and working full-time elsewhere… Lack of funds, feeling extremely overwhelmed and exhausted, trying to build a functional website on my own with no technical skills, and trying to navigate the ends and outs of owning a business are just a few examples. However, I think the biggest obstacle I’ve faced is self doubt. It’s easy to get discouraged, especially starting out and experiencing slow months of business. There were moments when I truly thought, “What was I thinking?! I’m not right for this or good enough!” Ultimately, it’s been the feedback I receive from clients, after their sessions, that really helped me overcome the fear and doubt. Being able to help others feel more supported, empowered, inspired, healed, and connected is what matters most to me!

My Psychic Reiki sessions were created to provide clients with an experience that has the potential to be more informative, in-depth, and personal than a traditional reiki session or psychic/mediumistic session. In order to provide my clients with the healing, guidance, and connections that will best serve their needs at the time of our session; I utilize my abilities to access past lives, connect with their soul, dive deep into their energetic body (chakras) to investigate blocks/ heal/ and balance, connect with their loved ones who have passed away that want to express their love and communicate, connect with their guides, trance heal, and more! I believe there’s no ‘right or wrong’ way to achieve healing, personal growth, or spiritual enlightenment because everyone’s journey is so unique. For that reason, every session I provide is a unique experience for my client (and for me!). Ultimately, I hope each person can walk away from a session with me feeling a little more aware of and connected to the beauty, power, and light within them!
