Today we’d like to introduce you to Kevin Thompson
Hi Kevin, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My name is Kevin Thompson. I am originally from Hemingway, South Carolina. Raised in Conway. SC then later moved to Columbia, SC where I have been for the past 10 years now. Ministry and Business has always been a part of my life since I was the age of 7. As for ministry, I’ve been singing since the age of 7 in my local church choirs, traveling with them and singing all over which later birth me into becoming an Independent Gospel Artist, Praise and Worship Leader and Lead Psalmist as I currently am now. My story with music ministry is simply “It was a leap of faith and doing what I’ve always been called to do”. I didn’t pursue anything full throttle until I moved to Columbia in 2014, started my own gospel group and began to travel all over singing the gospel. Since then, a lot more developments have happened with the music ministry. I have rebranded my ministry brand from Kevin Thompson & Rebirth to now “Kevin Thompson Ministries. Within KTM, I became a gospel recording independent artist, with music out on Apple Music titled, “Lift Him Up, released August 28, 2020. My followers and supporters doubled from what they were when I first launched back in 2014. When I released my single , I won an award for “Best Contemporary Gospel Song” awarded by the “Victory Gospel Awards Fest” in November 2020. In addition to KTM, I was licensed as a Minister of the Gospel in the Church of God In Christ back in June 2022. I am just grateful to where the Lord has brought me from and accelerating me to. I’m just honored to be considered for it all.
As for my business, I am the CEO and Founder of Thompson Business Consulting, LLC, a business consulting company who specializes in Business and Ministry Legal Contracts, Professional Resumes for those seeking jobs, as well as offering Administrative Services to those in ministry for event planning and book managing services. I started this business during the pandemic back in April of 2020 and it has been a blessing to myself and many since then. The inspiration to start this business venture came from my legal background as Bankruptcy Paralegal Manager with my uncles Law Firm, the deceased now, Attorney William J. Barr from Kingstree, SC. I worked under his leadership and got very familiar with the laws and court processes not just in Bankruptcy for Personal Injury, State and Federal Criminal Court and Contract Law for 4.5 strong years. I pay much homage to him for developing me into the legal expert person that I am today. In addition, from a music ministry side, I was inspired to do contracts not just from my legal experience but also being in the music industry, I’ve just seen a lot of fellow artist, friends, pastors, etc. who have not been dealt with the best experience business wise and there was no legal contract to protect them, their ministry, their business and their rights lawfully.
The journey doesn’t stop here. I am set to launch a few more business under Thompson Business Consulting, LLC in 2025 as well as their is new music on the horizon for Kevin Thompson Ministries as well for 2025. I’m a grinder, a hustler, a creative and person who wont stop until empires, impact and success is at the tip of my hands.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road has definitely not been smooth. A lot of bumps and uncertainties along the way but I made the decision not give up and continue pursuit of it all. I am a man of prayer and faith. In my journey I have stood on these two principles through my journey. Its whats kept me, its whats keeping me and its whats been a blessing to me.

Thompson Business Consulting, LLC has been in business for 4 years. This business was birthed during the pandemic in April 2020. I started this business to help business owners, gospel ministry professionals who doesn’t have legal contracts in place to get them in place and those be created by company. Also I love helping people so my business also helps with professional resumes and offering administrative services for event planning and booking management who are in need of the same. I have 20 years of management experince with 16 of those being in the corporate america arena. Helping elping people , growing them and development has always been my passion. Outside of ministry and my personal business, I am a Executive Manager in the corporate world. Currently, I work for Veeva Systems, a medical data life science company in which I oversee the entire US region for the Research Center Divison that houses well over 370+ employees both onshore and offshore all reporting to me. Yup, Im a very busy man lol.
