Today we’d like to introduce you to Kevin Reif.
Hi Kevin, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I worked for a large pest control service for close to 6 years before starting our own company. I took a break from the industry and worked for a local renewable energy company. Early last year, my wife and I decided to finally take all the steps required to start our pest solution business here in Charleston, South Carolina. Our goal for the company was to develop a solution to serve and protect our local environment, family and loved ones the most ethically possible. Last November, we launched the company, and since then, we have indeed been flooded with an overwhelming response. Our “Take care of your home like it’s our own” mentality has gone a long way. We have an approach to our service that makes it more fun to get your bug service done at your property. We are looking forward to serving this great city for years and years to come.
Would it have been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
We are learning something new every week since launching late last year. However, our service has remained the same, tried and true since day 1. One thing that was difficult earlier on was developing a “game plan” for the business. Whether to have a business partner or an investor, we decided to keep things in the family and start from scratch; turns out it was the best decision we ever made!
We’ve been impressed with Reif Environmental, but for folks who might need to be more familiar, what can you share about what you do and what sets you apart?
We are an environmentally based pest control company here in Charleston, SC. Our specialty is a premium service for your home’s general pest and mosquito control needs. Our mentality of “Taking care of your home like it’s ours” is truly shown with the quality time and premium products we use around a customer’s home. Our brand has this old-school vintage feel to it. Something surprising about me is that after being born in Savannah, GA. I lived in Brunei (near Malaysia) for about 6 years of my life!
