Today we’d like to introduce you to Hannah Harvey.
Hi Hannah, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I was born and raised in Southern California, but came out to Charlotte for law school and ended up starting a family here and stayed.
I have always had a love for parties. My husband’s famous words to me for every party or occasion is, “Don’t go overboard,” but yet I go overboard every time – I don’t know how not to. In January of 2022 I created a balloon garland for my daughter’s Frozen party and was hooked. I began taking on small jobs for family and friends, and attending any classes so I could learn and hone my skill. In 2024 I went full-time with Bows and Balloons Events and left my corporate job. With over 500 bookings completed so far we are excited to grow and take on more events this year.

From birthday parties to weddings and corporate events, Bows and Balloons Events adds a unique touch that captivates guests and elevates any occasion. We believe life is to be celebrated and take great pride in collaborating with clients to bring their visions to life.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
One of the most important lessons we have learned is to be flexible. We can go in with a vision on an installation and the weather or site can sometimes be unpredictable. We have learned to have multiple tools with us and be ready to pivot to another idea if for some reason the first didn’t work. It is important to just stay calm and find solutions.
Another lesson is to ask a million questions up front. This helps us know exactly what we are walking into on installation day and hopefully will eliminate any surprises. We have modified our client-intake form over the years to be more robust to ensure we are prepared for each and every celebration.
